Bangalore-based private equity law firm Lexygen has brought on board Yang Yen Thaw as a partner to head up its Singapore office.
For the last two decades, Yang has advised clients on joint ventures, strategic alliances, IP law and foreign direct investments into India for clients like Huawei Technologies, Adidas India and ZTE Corporation.

Describing Lexygen as a firm with “a dynamic team” that shows “a high degree of professionalism”, Yang said: “I anticipate a good synergy between India and [other] Asian countries in terms of business and investments through Singapore.”
Established in 2009, Lexygen’s Singapore office advises and works closely with Singaporean and multinational private corporations, Singapore government-linked corporations and global private equity funds in connection with their Indian interests. It also acts for Indian companies seeking expansion or fundraising opportunities in the Asian market. Indian firms with a presence in the Lion City include Dua Associates, Kochhar & Co and Nishith Desai Associates.
