Job Description
Our client, a leading e-commerce giant, is seeking a Japan-qualified commercial lawyer to join their expanding legal team in Tokyo. In this role, you will provide legal and compliance support for the platform’s business operations, negotiate, draft, and review commercial contracts, and manage relationships with outside counsel.
Requirements
• The ideal candidate will hold a law degree from a Common Law jurisdiction and have at least 5 years of PQE at a top-tier Japanese or international law firm, with in-house experience in the tech sector.
• Experience in e-commerce, cross-border trade transactions, and a start-up environment is highly desirable.
• Fluency in Japanese and English is essential, while proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is a strong advantage. REF: 17167/VTA
