Anli Partners has hired Daniel Han and Luo Kaitian to foster its IP and labour law capabilities in the Shanghai and Beijing offices.
Han is a patent attorney, and specialises in handling disputes related to patents, trademarks, copyrights and unfair competition.
The Beijing-based partner represented Bulgari and Dior in obtaining well-known trademarks, and represented South Korea’s TV station SBS in a contract dispute involving a Chinese show called Keep Running. Previously, Han was a counsel at King & Wood Mallesons’ IP department.
Luo is a specialist in labour law and is well-versed in the ESG and compliance fields. He has extensive experience in advising companies on mobilising staff, cross-border employment, and forming ESG and compliance policy.
The Beijing and Shanghai-based partner has advised clients such as the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, KPMG, Apple, and the Beijing organising committee for the 2022 Winter Olympics.
Luo started his legal career at King & Wood Mallesons and joined AnJie Law Firm (now AnJie Broad) as a partner in 2019. Two years later, he became the founding head of the labour law practice at the KPMG-affiliated law firm Shanghai Rui Wei. After the deregistration of the Big Four affiliated law firms in 2022, Luo founded Puran Law Firm and became its executive director.
