Rahul Kapoor

Introduction

Widely recognised as one of the top technology deal lawyers in the world, Rahul Kapoor has over 25 years’ experience and a focus on commercial, IP, and technology transactions. He counsels clients on strategic alliances, joint ventures, and corporate partnering transactions in the technology industry that includes a focus on India-related matters. 

Rahul is the practice group leader of the Silicon Valley and San Francisco corporate transactions practice, co-leader of the firm’s India initiative, and previously served as the Firmwide Hiring Partner, Managing Partner of the SV office, and on the firm’s Advisory Board. 

Rahul has a degree in electrical engineering and worked for six years as an engineer before law. In addition to practicing law, Rahul taught an IP strategy class for 10 years at University of California Berkeley Law School.
