Introduction
Li Ruixuan is a non-equity partner at Zhong Lun Law Firm’s dispute resolution department. He holds degrees from Beijing Normal University, China University of Political Science and Law and University of Oxford, where he earned a Master of Laws. With outstanding bilingual legal service capabilities, he has provided professional securities compliance legal advice and securities litigation representation to top global investment banks, the Big Four accounting firms, and credit rating agencies.
Li specialises in securities compliance, litigation and criminal correspondence, as well as capital markets dispute resolution. He has provided comprehensive legal services including handling securities misrepresentation lawsuits, securities compliance consulting, regulatory investigations, and securities-related criminal cases for dozens of securities firms, listed companies, and securities service agencies. Notable cases include China’s first collective securities class action settlement, the first securities administrative case involving a commitment by the party concerned, the first compliance investigation case for convertible bond fraud in China, and a bond misrepresentation case involving a Big Four accounting firm. In many of these cases, he has helped sponsors and underwriters, securities service agencies and listed companies achieve zero liability or significant reductions in liability. Several cases have been recognised as top 10 investor protection cases by the China Securities Regulatory Commission, top 10 financial and commercial cases by Shanghai courts, and top 10 typical cases by the Shanghai Financial Court. He has also been consistently honoured with prestigious awards from market rating agencies such as China Business Law Journal.
Li is committed to theoretical research in cutting-edge fields such as securities and trust law. He has led and completed annual key reports for the Securities Association of China and the National Association of Financial Market Institutional Investors, receiving excellence awards. He has also published several professional articles in authoritative journals, such as Securities Law Review.
