Introduction
Ding Xueming has extensive experience in the fields of commercial dispute resolution, data compliance and corporate governance.
Ding’s expertise in commercial dispute resolution covers cases such as the disposal of non-performing bank assets as well as fund, factoring contract and company-related disputes, including equity and contract disputes. As the chief legal counsel for a supply chain group, Ding provides litigation and non-litigation legal services to its over 30 subsidiaries, including risk mitigation funds and non-performing asset disposals. He has represented multiple cases involving personality rights (privacy rights and personal information protection) disputes related to an online lending platform, demonstrating his expertise in data-related dispute resolution.
In the data compliance field, Ding provides specialised domestic and international data compliance services and long-term legal advisory services to a diverse range of clients, including internet companies and major streetwear e-commerce platforms, as well as financial services, insurance and artificial intelligence firms. He is a member of the Data Management Association China, holds the Certified Data Management Professional credential, and is a Certified Information Security Professional in Personal Information Protection. Ding has published several articles on data compliance, which have been featured on prominent platforms such as cybersecurity industry portal FreeBuf, Security Focus, and Wolters Kluwer’s professional legal database. He has contributed to drafting Large-Scale Model Safety, Regulation and Compliance, published by the Machinery Industry Press in 2024.
In the area of corporate governance, Ding focuses on providing long-term legal services to various enterprises, including compliance reviews of internal risk controls, business models and organisational structures. He serves as an expert member of the Shanghai Science and Technology Finance Information Service Platform, organised by the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission. He is a co-drafter of the “Compliance Evaluation and Certification Standards for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises”, and contributed to the co-authored book titled Corporate Full-Process Legal Counsel, published in December 2021.
