Introduction
Aloysius Wee is the joint managing partner at Aquinas Law Alliance. Prior to this, he was the managing principal of Dacheng Wong Alliance, Singapore’s first China-Singapore joint venture law firm. Wee graduated with a BA in Law & Economics from the University of Kent at Canterbury and is a qualified barrister-at-law. He was admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 1995.
Wee has extensive experience in advising clients in cross border projects in Singapore and the wider Asean region and China. He regularly advises clients on market entry strategies into China and investments in the region, leveraging his strong network in the country. His legal expertise extends across corporate, real estate, and investment transactions in China, India, and the Asean region, helping clients navigate intricate legal and commercial challenges across multiple jurisdictions.
He also heads the private client practice at Aquinas Law Alliance and has advised many high net worth individuals (HNWIs) on their family office setup as well as their operations and downstream private equity investments in the Asean region.
Wee is also the founder and current chairperson of the Asean Legal Alliance, a network of law firms across the region.
He is also heavily involved in the charities and philanthropy space, serving as a director for the Tay Leck Teck Foundation and various other charities in Singapore. He is the current chair of charity Ambulance Wish Singapore Limited.
