Introduction
Charmaine Rose “Charms” K Haw-Lim, the young but well-experienced name partner of Gulapa & Lim, is an infrastructure and energy specialist whose experience is way ahead of lawyers even more senior to her.
After spending her formative stage in SyCipLaw and working as a local consultant to the Asian Development Bank, Haw-Lim co-established the firm as a partner at an early age of 29. Since then, Haw-Lim has been involved in more than 30 infrastructure projects, where she has been tagged as a maverick by clients for never saying “No” to any complex legal issue requiring a solution that would achieve their commercial goals. She heads Gulapa & Lim’s bustling energy practice. She has co-led and is leading various teams advising local developers and foreign investors on solar projects, including the Alternergy Group and the Abotiiz Group.
Haw-Lim has been recognised as a leading lawyer by The Legal500 in Projects & Energy since 2020.
