Alfonso B VERZOSA

Introduction

Alfonso B Verzosa is a senior partner of DivinaLaw. He specialises in civil, labour and commercial litigation. He has actively practised in the different levels of the judicial system. He is currently the general counsel of the University of Santo Tomas (UST), one of the top universities in the Philippines. He is responsible for directing and overseeing legal matters pertaining to the university. He ensures maximum protection of the university’s legal rights utilising broad familiarity with all major legal disciplines. He likewise provides legal advice and counsel to the UST Hospital, foundations and other educational institutions on various legal compliance programs.

Prior to joining DivinaLaw, he was the head of the litigation department of the Bank of the Philippine Islands with proven years of experience gained from trial and corporate practice.

He obtained his juris doctor degree from the University of Santo Tomas. He also holds a bachelor of science in commerce degree from the same university.
