Gunita Pahwa

Introduction

Gunita Pahwa is the joint managing partner of S&A Law Offices. She heads the dispute resolution team at the Gurgaon office of the firm.

Her specialisation includes representing clients in commercial arbitration and disputes in courts and regulatory bodies, advisory on project management, regulatory issues, tender and bidding documentation, etc, across various sectors including infrastructure, pharmaceuticals, energy, roads and highways, ports, airports, waterways, waste to energy, shipping, mining, real estate and IT.

Commercial arbitrations, dispute resolution and commercial advisory are her forte. With more than 19 years of a prosperous professional career, she has earned many accolades for handling complex dispute cases. She holds extensive experience in domestic and international arbitration and has successfully represented clients before the LCIA, SIAC, ICC and domestic ad-hoc and institutional arbitrations. She works closely with foreign counsel engaged by the firm to represent clients’ interests in foreign jurisdictions.

Gunita regularly represents the firm at national and international conferences, meetings and forums such as the International Bar Association, the International Trademark Association, the Inter-Pacific Bar Association, etc. She often shares her knowledge through speaking engagements addressing dispute resolution. She was a distinguished speaker at the 5th Annual Meet and International Summit organised by the Alliance for Corporate Counsel and Company Secretaries, 2022, 2019 and at the India Ahead, Leading the New Age Economic Laws Summit 2019.

She also conducts seminars for client teams on contract management and regulatory compliance. Gunita also organises knowledge exchange within the firm with inter-departmental activities and presentations for continued education and growth of the group.
