DOCVIT Law Firm has bolstered its criminal defence and corporate compliance practice with the recruitment of Sui Wei as a senior partner in Beijing.
Sui has been working in China’s legal circles for around 20 years and formerly a prosecutor in the People’s Procuratorate of Qingdao City. She has worked on numerous cases involving human rights violations and economic and drug-related crimes.
In 2005, she was deemed a “spearhead against tax crimes” by the city of Qingdao, and five years later, she handled the largest firearms case in Shandong province.
The veteran prosecutor then switched lanes and joined a boutique law firm – JYC Law Firm, as a senior specialist, as well as Digtech Law Firm as a senior partner. While at JYC, she was appointed by the China Association of Small and Medium Enterprises to draft the assessment standard that monitors SMEs’ operational compliance.
