Introduction
Gary Hung joined Chien Yeh Law Offices in 2004 and became partner in charge in 2015. He currently leads a task force focusing on capital markets. With more than 20 years of practice experience, Hung is distinguished for his expertise in delivering an effective problem-solving approach and dedicated to achieving the clients’ goals in several commercial transactions.
Apart from the above, Hung served in other professional roles, including two advisory commissioner posts for the Taipei City Government with the Complaint Review Board for Government Procurement and the Law and Regulation Commission. He was also a lecturer in “Workshop for Legal Practices” organised by the Department of Civil Servant Development in the Taipei City Government.
Hung primarily practises in listings for overseas or domestic companies in Taiwan, M&A, cross-border investments, corporate hostile takeovers, and securities exchange laws. From 2011 to 2024, Hung served as the issuer’s counsel or underwriter’s counsel for more than 50 projects involving listing on the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) or the Taipei Exchange (TPEx), including but not limited to Ventec International Group, Shanghai Commercial & Savings Bank, Khgears International, Yonggu Group, World Known MFG (Cayman), FY Group, BTL, Amax Holding, Gongwin Biopharm Holdings and Trio Technology International Group.
Hung’s achievement in capital markets practice, has seen Chien Yeh Law Offices recognised as one of the top corporate law firms in Taiwan, and collected several awards from the TWSE and TPEx since 2011. Among the achievements are two consecutive first places in the 2018 and 2019 TWSE awards for Circulation of Securities Award: Law Firms Category and is recognised with the 2023 Capital Market Contribution Award and the 2024 Capital Market Contribution Award by the TWSE.
