Wei Wei

Introduction

Wei Wei is one of the founding partners of CM Law Firm and has established an up-and-coming brand law firm with a good reputation in the industry. Wei has hosted multiple corporate capital market financing and M&A restructuring projects, providing professional legal services for many large-scale, well-known enterprises and financial institutions to enter the capital market and complete their strategic development.

Wei has worked so far with more than 100 well-known enterprises to provide legal services for domestic and international financing projects, in domestic and international listing, investment and financing, and mergers and acquisitions, and is especially experienced in legal services projects. She has organised a number of domestic and international award-winning projects, including: the spin-off of SISRAM MEDICAL by Shanghai Fosun Pharmaceutical and its listing in Hong Kong in 2017, which was selected as an Outstanding Transaction of the Year by Business Law; and the Hong Kong IPO of Zhong’an Online Insurance in 2017, which was selected as an “Outstanding Transaction of the Year” by Business Law; and the Hong Kong IPO of Zhong’an Online Insurance in 2017. Wei’s other honours include Outstanding Deal of the Year Award; 2017 ALB Stock Market Deal of the Year Award and China Deal of the Year Award in Shunfengs A-share shell listing; and for Business Law Fosun Group’s issuance of overseas euro-denominated bonds, the 2013 Outstanding Transaction of the Year Award; the 2010 Best M&A Project award from the China Mergers and Acquisitions Association for Shanghai Pharmaceuticals’ absorption and merger with Chinese and Western Pharmaceuticals; . She was also recognised for her role in Shanghai Industrial’s major asset restructuring project.

Wei has been selected as a finalist for the ALB China Regional Market Law Awards: East China Women Lawyer of the Year from 2023 to 2024; and has been awarded the Capital Markets – Equity Key Recommended Lawyer for two consecutive years, 2023 and 2024, by IFLR1000. She has been selected as a member of the A-List of the Legal Elite of the Business Law 2020; was awarded the title of 2017 Top 15 Chinese Lawyers Rising Stars by ALB; selected by LEGALBAND China Top Lawyers for five consecutive years from 2020 to 2024 Medical and Life Sciences; was included in the Top 15 Chinese Lawyers Special Recommendation List by Legalband 2021: Consumption and Retail; and recognised by LEGALBAND as one of the top 15 lawyers in China. Wei was also among Legalband’s 2020 Top 15 Chinese Women Lawyers. She is actively involved in a variety of social and public welfare activities. In 2024, she became the deputy director of Shanghai Putuo District Lawyers’ Work Committee, and in June 2023, she was elected as the representative of Shanghai Putuo District Lawyers.
