Restructuring and insolvency expert Mark Fairbairn will join Linklaters’ Hong Kong office later this year as a senior consultant.
He is currently self-employed through Fairbairn & Co. Previously, Fairbairn was a partner and head of the Asian restructuring practice at DLA Piper, and was a partner at O’Melveny, White & Case and Deacons.
With more than 30 years’ experience, Fairbairn specialises in financial restructuring, insolvency and distressed and alternative investments in Asia. He is currently advising on the liquidation of China Properties Group and has been involved in the winding-up proceedings of Kaisa Group Holdings in Hong Kong, which are governed by public securities under PRC law, as well as certain aspects of the restructuring of Logan Property Group.
